Courage

I look all around me, and I see wildly courageous students. I see people performing in the school play. I see students competing in Model UN tournaments. I see friends trying out for the Varsity baseball team. Why can't I be courageous like them? We need to remind ourselves the definition of courage. Courage is the ability to do something in the face of fear or grief. Your peers may seem so much more courageous than you are, but have you ever considered that these public platforms (school play, Model UN and baseball team) might not scare them? However, it may scare YOU to be so visible in front of others. Courage is trying something even when it frightens you. I know you are courageous. Each day, think of one moment that you were scared, AND you acted in spite of that fear. Take time to recognize your power. Your power radiates from you every day.
